About Pauline Brown
For more than 20 years Pauline Brown has helped to acquire, grow and lead premium global brands. As Chairman of North American for LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, she provides regional leadership for the Group, which includes brands Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, Fendi, Bulgari, Givenchy, Tag Heuer, Marc Jacobs, Sephora, Fresh, Dom Pérignon, Veuve Clicquot and Hennessy. She also serves on the Board of L Capital, a European private equity firm backed by LVMH. She will discuss building a world–renowned brand and share her perspective on career development and professional growth.
Earlier in her career, Pauline was a Managing Director at the private equity firm The Carlyle Group, where she specialized in buyouts in the consumer and retail sectors. Prior to joining Carlyle, Pauline was the Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Global Business Development at Avon Products, responsible for developing the company’s long-term growth strategy and driving key components of a major restructuring plan. She joined Avon from The Estee Lauder Companies, where she was the Vice President of Corporate Strategy and New Business Development and led all mergers, acquisitions and licensing activities. During her tenure, Pauline helped to expand Estee Lauder’s portfolio from 8 to 25 distinct beauty brands. Pauline began her career as a Management Consultant at Bain & Company.
Since 2008, she has been a Henry Crown Fellow of the Aspen Institute, a program that seeks to develop the next generation of community-spirited leaders. In 2013, she joined the Board of Overseers of the Henry Crown Fellowship Program. She also sits on the Boards of the Wharton Alumni Council, Parsons School of Design, Columbia University’s Maison Francaise, French-American Chamber of Commerce and Cosmetics Executive Women.
