Alternative Business 40 Routes


A 1.2-mile section of Business 40 has closed in Winston-Salem until Spring 2020 for road improvements. The closure, from US 52 to Peters Creek Parkway, will impact travel to the Innovation Quarter and to Wake Forest Baptist facilities in downtown Winston-Salem.

Traveling west to east on Business 40, Peters Creek Parkway will be your last exit.

Traveling east to west on Business 40, US 52 will be your last exit.

Motorists are advised to add an additional 20-30 minutes to their commutes and plan routes ahead of time.
