Black Women in STEM: Lunch & Learn

September 14, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

In 2017–2018, Black women accounted for only 2.9% of bachelor’s degrees across all STEM fields. Join us as we hear from Taquanica Floyd on her journey from Oxford, NC to graduating from NC A&T in electrical engineering to over 15 years of growth at Inmar Intelligence.
We’ll also discuss the challenges Black women face in STEM and how our community can work to encourage more marginalized students to pursue careers in the sciences.
Hosted by YP President, Abrea Armstrong. Only on Facebook Live.
