Virtual: Wake Forest School of Medicine Graduation Ceremonies

Wake Forest School of Medicine is excited to celebrate this year’s graduating classes. To ensure the health of the community, Wake Forest School of Medicine has canceled in-person ceremonies for May 2020 graduation and will provide alternative ways of recognizing the graduates. Details for each educational program can be found here.
Doctor of Medicine (MD)
On Sunday, May 17, 2020 at 4:30 pm EST the candidates for the degree of doctor of medicine will be hooded as practicing physicians in virtual ceremony. The ceremony will include an address from key leadership, a guest speaker and reading of names to recognize the achievement of each student. The ceremony is open to the public. Master of Medical Science (PA)
On Saturday, May 16, 2020 at 4 pm EST the candidates for the degree of Master of Medical Science will be hooded as Physician Assistants. The ceremony will include an address from key leadership, reading of graduates’ names to recognize the achievement of each student, administration of the professional oath and presentation of faculty and student awards. Biomedical Graduate Programs (MS/PhD)
The May hooding and awards program has been postponed until a future date that has not yet been specified. Graduate degrees will be conferred by Wake Forest University in a virtual ceremony on May 18. Details will be announced soon. Visit WFU Commencement page for updates on this ceremony.
