Juneteenth Festival

The 2018 Juneteenth Festival, a national celebration of freedom, will offer jazz, gospel, blues, and R&B featuring performances by Tony Dove, Big Ron Hunter, Voices of God’s Children, Keith Byrd, Galvin Crisp, Diana Tuffin, Otesha African Dance Ensemble, and Big 4 Choir.

The day will include a health fair with seminar screenings, interactive heritage displays, exhibitors, artists and craftsmen, book signings, and community agencies. Food trucks and vendors will offer ethnic dishes and merchandise.

A youth area will include face-painting, dance workshops, crafts and music. Special African American heritage tours will be offered through the Innovation Quarter to learn about the once thriving and bustling African American business community. The event is free and open to the public. Free parking is available in the 4th/Church Street deck.
